The Lilo-log #93: YouTube Reviewers Worth Checking Out! Presented by Saljack Enterprises. Gaming. Animation. Media. Entertainment. Woman Owned. Short Films. Animated Movies. Kids Cartoons. Game Development.

In this video, Lilo discusses YouTube Reviewers Worth Checking Out!

Before buying a video game you should check out reviews. Video reviews are one of the best ways to get to know a game without playing. Lilo Nash talks about five good YouTube game reviewers that you should check out. They are:

  • Angry Centaur Gaming (ACG) “Buy, Wait for Sale, Rent, or Never Touch”
  • Lazy Games Review
  • Video Game Dunkey “dunkview”
  • Gameranx “Before You Buy”
  • Gggmanlives

Each of these reviewers offers something special. ACG plays through every game he reviews and refuses sponsored reviews. Lazy Games Review specializes in classic computer games. Gameranx is a company with straightforward reviews. Gggmanlives is a regular guy who specializes in first-person shooters.

For video game reviews that aren’t video, there are many options. You can find sites that have a rating system. Two popular sites for video game ratings are Steam and Metacritic. Professional video game websites also offer good reviews. Some of the most popular are IGN, Destructoid, Polygon, and GameSpot.

Stay tuned for more Lilo Nash Monday next week!

I’ve only heard of videogamedunkey. Are these other reviewers just as honest and funny?

  2. Gotta love the dunkster! Dunkey’s videos are some of the most hilarious videos I have ever watched on Youtube.

  3. titanierza says:

I agree with gray nothing beats a first hand encounter. However, I usually look forward to SE reviews at a weekly basis.

  4. grayicemake says:

I am not overly fond of game reviews!!! I usually try out playing them first before listening to a review. If that is making any sense!!!

  5. Edwin Kamau says:

Well, this is the first time I’m hearing of these reviewers. I do use google and forums to see the rate my games.

  6. David Kamau says:

I have heard of Gggmanlives but never tried it. I do normally use Angry Centaur Gaming.

  7. i like this post. im gonna have to check out lazy game reviews as a personal. normally i use game spot or just a search engine and check out a couple different reviews by different places

  8. I like Lazy Games reviews. The way they review the games, the humor plus they review the games I’m interested to. I recommend their channel.

  9. I’m a patient kind of gamer and I prefer to read and watch reviews before actually buying the game. That’s why I love watching YouTube game reviews.

  10. Chatingale says:

I really read review whenever I am planning to buy something. Even buying games, I read the comments to help me decide if I should buy or not.

  11. Pat says:

We need more honest reviewers such as them! I always go to youtube for reviews when buying too and it is disappointing to know after a while that the video is a paid one. I’m glad there are still honest reviewers out there! Keep rockin’

  12. Marcie Smith says:

I really ACG reviews. I guess the fact that reviews are not sponsored makes them more credible to me. And I guess nowadays I would never buy any game without taking a look at Metacritic. I will check out the other reviewers you mentioned too, the more opinions the better, I think

  13. cmblog834 says:

I’ve seen some of these reviewers that you mention and they are really great. I know how reliable your site is, so I trust you Lilo.

  14. These recommendations are good. I mean when I look for a reviewer I want that is someone who is honest in their reviews.

  15. joyce baumann says:

  16. George Kirkos says:

Thank you so much for the recommendation, Lilo. I’ll check them out. Lazy Games Review sounds very interesting to me. Lazy huh?

  17. Danielle says:

As you said money is time time is money, I rather to watch some youtubers playing the game before and read the reviews this way I know the game I wanna get is not a waste of time

  18. Sidney M says:

when it comes to video games or movies I like to read the review before, nothing worst that feeling me dissapointed after spending money in a game that I tougth was cool
