Lilos Lair 95 Best Game Deals this Weekend

Another Friday, another weekend of gaming deals.

This weekend is Square Enix weekend for consoles. That is, for both Xbox and PlayStation Square Enix games are on sale. This deal might sound familiar and that’s because last week it was running on Steam for computer gamers.

Here is the PlayStation sale’s homepage. You will see Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood for 50% off, NieR: Automata for 50% off, and Just Cause 3 XL for 75% off. There are a total of 97 items for sale at PlayStation for Square Enix weekend.

Here is the rundown of Xbox games for sale this weekend–including the Square Enix deals. There is Dark Souls III for 70% off, Dues Ex: Mankind Divided for 75% off, and Life is Strange Complete Season for 75% off. There are plenty more good ones to pick from though.

It’s a pretty good weekend for some sweet deals on the console in my humble opinion. Though the meat of my blog is computer games. That is because it’s also an awesome weekend for computer game deals.

The first big “sale” announcement isn’t a sale at all actually. H1Z1 is now free-to-play! This battle royale game come out on early access back in 2015. The game starts with you parachuting into a map with up to 150 other players. You have a choice to go solo, on a team of two, or in a team of five. Last man–or team–standing wins. As the game progresses a toxic gas spreads through the edges of the map. This shrinks the playable area, making confrontation with other players more likely. This game just left early access last week! It even recently added a car only option called Auto Royale.

If you are one of the people who purchased the game in early access than they are giving you a bonus pack of goodies in appreciation. The Appreciation Pack includes:

  • Gasrunner Hoodie
  • Bloom Survivor T-Shirt
  • Splinter Camo ARV
  • 10 Victory Crates
  • 10,000 Skulls

Here is the homepage to this news with all the official details.

Another big one that may be gone before you know it…Steam is giving away the Amnesia Collection for FREE. Yes, completely free. Check it out here. As long as the sale is still going then you will see the option to install The Dark Descent for free. This will also include A Machine for Pigs. No knowing how long this deal is running!

If you aren’t familiar with these games, they are certainly horror. Creepy nightmare places complete with torture dungeons. The games have good ratings and the storylines are intriguing. If you miss this deal you should add the games to your Steam wishlist because this is the second time they’ve given it away for free. If it’s on your wish list Steam will email you if it goes on sale again.

Another great deal, that isn’t as good as free but pretty close, is The Silent Age at Humble. The game is 90% off and costs a whopping 99 cents. This is a point-and-click puzzle game with pretty great reviews. A 9/10 on Steam and 4.5 in the iTunes store. You play Joe in the 1970s who must save the world with time travel.

Now that I’ve brought up Humble let me talk about the monthly bundle. March games were just released, which means we now have to look forward to April. This is a $12 cost for a monthly bundle. If you sign up now for April you will right away get three games: Dues Ex: Mankind Divided, God Eater 2: Rage Burst, and Mafia III. Pay $12 get these three games, and come the beginning of April, get a whole mess of other games as well! The Humble Monthly deal is a pretty great one for people who like a lot of games.

Finally, Humble is running a “Paradox Weekend” sale. They have games made by Paradox up to 80% off. Here is the sale homepage. These games are mostly strategy. There are Stellaris and Hearts of Iron games–as well as more. This sale seems to be a promotion for the two new Paradox games coming out soon–Battletech and Surviving Mars. Surviving Mars comes out on the 15th and is a simulation game. You play as an overseer on Mars, trying to colonize and thrive on the planet. Battletech comes out in April and is a turned based strategy game about mechs (huge, piloted robots).

This weekend Steam is having another publisher sale. Specifically, 2K games are on sale. Here is the sale homepage. That means Civilization games, XCOM games, Bioshock, and more. There are games up to 92% off, but most seem to hover in the 50-80% off range.

I hope you guys have a great weekend gaming your gamer hearts out.

Let’s not forget about the competition Saljack is running! You guys, it’s for those who follow Saljack’s blog, YouTube, Twitter, or Facebook. All you do is sign up for the competition. However, there are ways to increase your chances of winning daily. You are competing for a $150 Amazon eGiftcard.
