The Lilo-log #71: Atari Cryptocurrency! Presented by Saljack Enterprises. Gaming. Animation. Media. Entertainment. Woman Owned. Short Films. Animated Movies. Kids Cartoons. Game Development.

In this video, Lilo discusses Atari Cryptocurrency!

Cryptocurrency like Bitcoin is not a fad! Bitcoin’s price took a nose dive recently. However, it is back over $11,000 USD again for the first time since January.

More cryptocurrencies (or altcoins) are being created. Atari is now making its own cryptocurrency. Their names are Atari Token and Pong Token respectively. Atari stock went up over 60%.

Atari dates back to 1972. Since then Atari has been sold a few times. In 2008 Atari became privately owned by Infogrames Entertainment. After claiming bankruptcy, Atari was reinvented with online casino games. Their gambling sites will use the Pong Token. Video games will use the Atari Token.

Atari plans to come out with a new gaming console this year. The new gaming consoles name is Ataribox. It will run Linux. Ataribox will have a vintage look like the Atari 2600. It will run like a mid-range computer. Which means the Ataribox will not be able to play some recent AAA video games.

Atari cryptocurrency? Now that’s something unexpected! Never heard of it and I’m really surprised that Atari is still alive! Well done and good for them! Hope that this continues! Thanks Lilo!

  2. So I’m guessing that this crypto-currency thing is going to be one of the highlights for Ataribox, eh? It can’t be helped but this is starting to look more of like a fad that’s going to die down really soon.

Gambling does wonders, yes, but they can actually make use of the current crypto coins out there and save themselves the hassle of developing one.

    Just my 2 cents.

  3. Seriously, Atari? Well, what a time to be alive. I wouldn’t really be surprised if physical money would someday disappear from the face of the earth. I just don’t get why there is a need to push such crypto currency ideals to gaming at the moment. Bitcoin is enough.

  4. Shivangi says:

Cryptocurrency seems like an intresting place to invest, keeping in mind that it is also not a stable currency . Just like bitcoin, its value can uprise and fall within a fraction of time . Also one should never spare too much into these things . But spending wisely may even make one rich.

  5. bobstravel77 says:

Make sure you guys have some spare cash when you invest in cryptocurrency. You should not go bankrupt on investing in stuff like this.

  6. Keep in mind everybody that you do not need to invest in the bitcoin if you don’t want to. I have seen people waste thousands of dollars on bitcoin and take loans and stuff due to peer pressure.

  7. Didn’t expect that Atari will enter the Cryptocurrency industry. Oh well, Cryptocurrency is the new thing in gaming world today so, Atari should better be updated on the trend.

  8. I know Cryptocurrency is taking over the world, but I feel that it’s still a risk doing transactions on it. The value surges up and down without a warning. I feel that it’s a gamble.

  9. imkirsten12 says:

Knowing Atari as one of the highly-regarded companies in the gaming industry, creating their own cryptocurrency is expected. I just hope gamers will also give their support.

  10. Albeneth says:

I heard that Atari Atari is for digital gaming platforms, whilst the Pong Token is for online casinos. Bitcoin simply means that the gaming industry is really escalating inventively.

  11. edgar says:

Arati will always be, one of the biggest corporation in gaming industry, the only backdraft is their lack of innovation during their time. However it’s nice to read this article that they are now following the cryptocurrency trend.

  12. Maraklein says:

To be honest I don’t know what Atari is. I am not also a gambler. But I really want to know more about bitcoins.

  13. odimdavid says:

Launching a new cryptocurrency years after declaring bankruptcy shows that Atari is trying to reinvent itself. I am not a fan of gambling but I hope I get to use the tokens by playing its video games.

  14. nnaemeka2016 says:

Atari must have recognized the value of having a coin of its own. I wonder if other companies will follow suit. Meanwhile, I hope users can be able to convert Atari Token and pong Token to real currency when the time comes.

  15. alexsummers123 says:

Why even call it Atari if it is NOT ATARI? Perhaps it can go back to its roots once it is once again stable.

  16. kadoyatsukasa123 says:

I do not know what Atari even is to be honest. However from gaming to gambling site is quiet a huge leap if you ask me.
