Hope you guys are enjoying winter, it’s my favorite season! NOT! I would rather fry an egg on my head in the summer than feel the cool air on my toes. Luckily the last day of winter is only two months away… Um, well what better excuse to stay inside cuddled up to some video games–next to a warm computer and probably some type of warm, caffeinated drink. Anyway, we are still in the thick of winter, but the winter sales have come and gone for most sites. However, that doesn’t mean deals are not to be found! I made sure to look far and wide for some good deals. Can’t go a weekend without some, can we?

Let me start with an amazing one for Xbox players. Buy three months of Gold, get three months free. This deal can be found at GameStop here. Guess what? This deal only lasts until tomorrow, January 20th, so don’t hesitate if you’re ready to buy Xbox Gold! Best Buy is also running this deal, right here.

Now, let me point you in the direction of where you can find Amazon game deals. I’d love to include some specific deals from them, but Amazon likes to do flash deals that are here and gone before I have a chance to spit out the news in excitement. That’s why I’m just going to give you guys the video game deal homepage for Amazon so you can check it out whenever you’re in the mood for some deals. These not only include games themselves, but also gear like headsets, controllers, keyboards, microphones, and more.

Here is Amazon’s video game deal homepage.

On to the next thing on my list…GameStop. I took a look at this week’s ad (right here). One super exciting thing is to see all the new games coming out soon. We were in a little rut of no new games after the holidays, and it seems things are about to pick up. However, the ad didn’t just excite me about God of War and Sea of Thieves, but they are running a decent sale on favorite games. I wouldn’t call the deals a steal, but if you were already looking to buy a specific game, then you could get some money off it this weekend. For instance, you can get $20 off Wolfenstein II, $20 off Assassin’s Creed Origins, $30 off South Park The Fractured But Whole, and others.

You can combine the video game deals with their extra bonus for trade-ins this weekend (until January 23rd). You can get an additional 40% when you trade in two or three games, or you can get an extra 60% when you trade in four or more games.

There happens to be another free game for computer gamers that’s popped up this weekend. GOG is giving away Carmageddon TDR 2000 for not too much longer. Check it out here. Carmageddon TDR 2000 is a car combat game that came out in 2000 (imagine that). What this game is known for is allowing you to kill pedestrians walking around in pretty violent ways. Some countries even went as far to change the pedestrians to zombies with green slime for blood to make it less violent. Overall the ratings have been mediocre to positive. Currently, it has a 7/10 on Steam and 4.1 on GOG.

This freebie isn’t the only thing on GOG. Many games are being featured on sale. This is the rest of the Carmageddon series, the Broken Sword series, Cook Serve Delicious, and more. These games go up to 90% off, so definitely worth a look through here.

Over at Humble Bundle, you can still pick up the monthly bundle that includes the latest Civilization. I mentioned this last week, so nothing new. However what is new is their super sale on Dex. They are selling Dex for $2 when it is regularly $20! Check it out here. Dex is a cyberpunk indie game that came out in 2015. It’s a side-scrolling action role-playing game with an open world. The game has received some mixed reviews for different aspects of the game, however, has been said to be a decent game worth the investment. Must be true for $2 at least.

The final sale I’m featuring is this weekend’s Steam sale. This sale is all about Dovetails games. Check out the sale homepage here. This game publishing company is all about simulation games for planes, trains, and fishing. This sale has games published by Dovetails up to 75% off.

If that isn’t your cup of tea than Steam has the game Hob 25% off through the weekend, costing $15. Check it out here. Hob is an action-adventure game made by the creators of Torchlight 1 and 2. It was released just this past fall–in September of 2017.

Now, let me finish out this blog with a reminder of Saljack’s “deal.” That is, the $150 Amazon eGiftcard competition that started this week. It is a month long and will end on February 15th. Here are the competition details, where you can find out where to sign up. You can also read all about how you can increase your chances of winning every day. Overall you need to be a subscriber to Saljack enterprises either at our blog, our Twitter, our Facebook, or YouTube to be a winner. Don’t forget to sign up and happy gaming!

Carmageddon and Wolfenstein look hardore!! It’s great they offer deals to games actually worth playing. Thanks for the update.

  2. titanierza says:

What about new titles? Steam beats COG on that aspect which makes it superior in my opinion, I have STEAM and it is all good so far.

  3. grayicemake says:

I think COG is having that dynamic for some time because it compensates the lack there of in terms of game line ups. its not bad though I prefer Steam at least for now.

  4. lordyou says:

Those are good deals. Their supersale on dex is very lucrative.

  5. Era says:

So many game offers, little time to play them. I am so excited to buy Hob! The art style is just beautiful! Anyways, thanks Lilo for this!

  9. Alma May says:

Such a great deal of games! Buy 3 months of Gold, and get 3 months free is not bad at all. For sure many gamers would also want this as I do.

  10. roddyw says:

I won’t mind shelling out $2 just to get my hands on these games! Nothing much to do outside in this freezing temp anyway

  11. bebesherman1214 says:

If my memory serves me well, Carmageddon was once banned in several countries because of excessive violence. This deal would be a great chance to see how it got itself suffering such a backlash back in the day! Exciting~

  12. Opondo says:

Great deals, i can see Gog is really gearing up its game with great games out there with up to 90% off, i mean that is insane. Worth checking out.

  13. alexsummers123 says:

If I am not mistaken Wolfenstein 2 was a game from last year right? To see it here again is very odd and good at the same time. That means that this game is worth it, I may get it soon.

  14. kadoyatsukasa123 says:

Can we get a review for these titles? I say that because not most of us are gamers let alone are familiar with these. An overview would be nice.

  15. I’m currently playing Hob at steam right now. It’s a challenging Action game. The graphics are so cool. I love it

  16. Thanks for sharing another bunch of game deals Lilo. But, I’m not interested in any of these games. Still need to wait for another game deals.

  17. Chatingale says:

I’m surprised to see that Carmageddon TDR dates as far as 2000. It’s quite a good game and fact that GOG is giving for free is pretty awesome.
