Are you a cat or a dog person? Personally, I have always grown up around cats, and never just one. There was one point where my parent’s were even breeding tiny mewing fluff balls. They were everywhere and so very cute. However, I always dreamed of the day I could have a dog. That day did eventually come, and I love my little chihuahua! However, now that I have experienced both I can confidently say that I’m totally a cat person. My little yapper is great, but there is something about a cat that I connect to on another level. It must be our similar, sparkling unsocial personalities. 😉
Today you guys are getting a list of cat games. These games range from free to a few bucks and come on tablets, phones, and computers. These are just a handful of some good looking ones though. You guys, there are a TON of games for your cats out there now. However, almost all of them feature the same idea of cat’s chasing a tiny object on the screen.
Friskies is first on my list, and that is because they have a whole handful of games they have made for cats. Three games actually, to be exact, and all are free. Pull n’ Play, Cat Fishing 2, and Jitterbug. Their newest is Pull n’ Play, which is playable in the Safari or Chrome web browsers on either a tablet or a desktop. This game features a cat toy on strings. If the strings are moved in any way the toy bounces around, and treats fall out. It’s suggested you have real treats on hand for your cat, so they aren’t left plotting your death after the virtual treat trickery.
The next game is Cat Fishing 2 for iOS and Android, so this is a phone game. In this one there are fish swimming around in the water. For every fish your cat catches it score points, and the difficulty will get harder. Another fun aspect of the game is if your cat hasn’t played for more than 30 seconds then the game will meow to get their attention!
Jitterbug is the last game and is also on iOS and Android for phones. The point of this game is to catch bugs on the screen. Jitterbug also has different game play options. There is a timed round where your cat catches as many bugs as possible in fifteen seconds. There is also an unlimited style, where the game goes on for as long as you want. There are options for you to pick out how many of each kind of bug will appear. I guess that is for training your cat to get the bugs that might show up in your house. Sayonara, roaches.
Here is a cat called Abe, loving him some of Cat Fishing 2:
Laser Chase (Android)
Laser Chase is probably exactly what you might guess. It is a game all about a little red dot darting across the screen. Enjoy watching your cat’s eyes, or entire body, dart around your Android device as the little red dot taunts them. This game is free.
Cat Playground (Android $1.99)
This game costs $2.55 but what you get out of this app is multiple games. There is the laser chase game, there’s a fishing game, there is a game with a mouse running over cheese, and there is also groundhogs jumping up from multiple holes in the ground like a whack-a-mole for your cat.
Cat Toys 1: Games for Cats and Games for Cats
Cat Toys 1 is a free Android app with multiple games for cats. This app features the laser pointer which comes in various laser dot designs such as a little flower or different colors. There is also a game called The Butterfly, where different types of butterflies flutter around different background from plain to flowered. There is also Cat Fishing, Chase the Mouse, The Ladybug, and The Fly.
Game for Cats is for iPad and is also free. It also offers a variety of games for your cat to play. They all center around the idea of cats chasing small things. The basic version includes the laser dot. If you purchase the upgrade for $2, then you can also get a mouse and a butterfly for chasing around.
Crazy Cat (Android)
Crazy Cat is a free Android game that brings out your cats inner crazy. In this game creatures scurry across the screen, driving your cats insane. There are mice, hopping bugs, and even lizards. This is another game where you cat can actually rack up a score. The creatures in this game move at different speeds, the faster the critter was crawling, the higher the points your cat scores when they catch it.
A super fun aspect of this game is if you have Bluetooth enabled phone then you can connect to it and control the critters while your cat plays! You do need to have a tablet and need to download the CrazyCatController option to be able to do so.
Paint for Cats and Cat Canvas
These two games are listed together because they are both painting games for your cat but on different systems. Paint for Cats is an iPad game that costs $2. What is cool about Paint for Cats is that it combines a Chase the Mouse game with painting. That way your cat is motivated to touch the screen. Cat Canvas is for Android and cost 99 cents. This game is a simpler art game with no mouse chasing aspect.
