Hey, You Guys!!
Nintendo had a press conference recently, and I was thinking you guys might be interested in hearing what all was discussed. Here’s what I’ve heard so far…
Nintendo’s E3 conference has come to a close, and they have let us in on some very interesting developments. It wasn’t the longest conference ever but, it surely left us with just enough to keep us up to date on some of their game releases that will be taking place in the very near future, and that’s pretty much all we could ask for. They got straight to the point, I like that! No need to handle things any other way if you ask me.
It was revealed that they are planning on bringing us the new Metroid Prime 4 as well as the new Super Mario Odyssey. I’m going to let you in on all the details but if you want to see it all first hand the video of the conference will be below. But here’s a few key points that stood out to me and I am sure you will interested in as well.
Now, I mentioned Metroid so let’s start with that…
It was announced that there would be a remake of Metroid 2: Samus Returns, compatible only with the 3DS with brand new abilities and visuals.
It was confirmed that they had created this version specifically for the Nintendo Switch. Not sure why they have decided to limit themselves this way but, we all know how hard they are still pushing the Switch, so I guess it does make sense in a way.
The Latest Pokémon was also announced exclusively for Nintendo Switch, along with the new Rocket League, including exclusive content and cross-network capabilities.
The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild… The release date was revealed for the first DLC pack with new twists to the extended story line, coming later this year. And a new Co-op Kirby game is also headed our way.
Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is set to release during our next holiday season set for Monolith Soft’s up and coming Nintendo Switch RPG.
The trailer for Fire Emblem Warriors was proudly on display. Its another slash em’ and hack em’ style game also coming this Fall.
Oh my! A new Yoshi game is in our midst! And who doesn’t just love Yoshi to pieces… I know I do! So glad to have him back in a whole new side-scrolling adventure game also headed for Switch.
I mean WOW! Nintendo, you sure have been busy! But, it seems to me that most of their latest games are focused around the Switch. Makes me wonder why they haven’t thought of coming with a new console and I mean an actual console. If you are like me, more than likely Switch isn’t on the top of a hard core gamers list. I mean its fun, no doubt about it but, I see it more of the younger gamer generation really connecting to the Switch so much more than some of us more seasoned gamers.
Do you think Nintendo needs to create another major system to keep up with the giants such as Xbox and PlayStation? Or is just me? Please do let me know what you think. I mean maybe I’m just out of the loop on this one, who knows…
Either way, this will end up being a huge year for Nintendo, considering Switch is such a big deal right now. My only question is for how long? Switch may fade out before we know simply due to the fact that most of the major games this year are for console play. I could just be thinking to much into it… it wouldn’t be the first time.. lol.
Now, I did promise to provide you with the actual conference or live stream video and you know I never like to disappoint so… here’s a few for those of you who are interested in checking it out for yourselves…
