Ky's Korner #48: Corentin Chevery Just Won $160,000 Gaming...I'm Jealous! Presented by Saljack Enterprises. Gaming. Animation. Media. Entertainment. Woman Owned.

Good Morning My Friends!

Nice to have you back! Today, I have a story that, well… I’ll be honest… has me completely jealous! LOLKiddingnot kidding… You will probably feel the same here pretty soon…

This past weekend, at the FIFA 17 Ultimate Team Championship, all the major FIFA players met in Berlin to prove who was the world’s best, the world’s #1 champ, while millions of fans tuned in to watch….

Corentin Chevery, a professional 19-year-old gamer for @Team_vitality and Xbox One from France just won over $160,000 in the FIFA 17 Ultimate Team Grand Final!! That’s right, you counted those zero’s correctly!! Oh, my goodness friends… I need to game professionally too, seriously…Game On!! I bet your thinking the same thing, huh!?

Corentin can be found on Twitter @Vitality_RocKy & On Facebook @https://www.facebook.com/pg/VitalityRocKy/about/?ref=page_internal …Just in case you now want to follow him and his career. I know he has sparked my interest, he is now my 19-year-old hero. I want to be just like him when I grow up!! LOL

Chevery is the best FIFA player in the world right now. Most people in the gaming world know him by his gamer tag “Vitality Rocky.” He beat out the most talented FIFA players from around the world by winning the Xbox One tournament then moving onto the PlayStation tournament and, he took first place there too, making him the all-around champion.

He went up against some of the very best including, Ps4 Champion, “Shellzz” from the United Kingdom. “Rocky” won the first leg of the game and went on to carry a 2-1 lead heading into the final. During the game he fell a bit behind, going 2-0 down, then he found himself doing his best to make a comeback from a 3-1 deficient late in the game. He knew he needed at least one more goal for the win. Fortunately, he made his comeback and was crowned the champion! Britain-born Shellzz, aka Shaun Springette & Rocky have been long time rivals so for serious FIFA gamers, this as the showdown of a lifetime… and they did not disappoint!

Shellzz is known for his counter-attacks and this proved to be a bit of a problem for Rocky, throwing him off his game for a while. Rocky is what you call a more procession-orientated player, so this threw his gameplay style for a loop…at first. Rocky was smart and turned to his legend cards to bring the heat, and eventually, this technique worked big time.

The championship hosts gaming teams consisting of the best players of today as legends from the past. These players are found through online gameplay winnings and earning cash awards. Players endure 16 rounds and must keep from losing two or more games to maintain their stats. Losing doesn’t mean you lose it all, it means you drop to a lower round but, have a chance to climb back to the top by winning their next matches so, luckily when you’re down, you’re not necessarily out, however, you must work extra hard to make your comeback.

FIFA creators, EA Sports opened the entire catalog of players for the competition. This meant the best players in the world would be playing with the best players in the game. This made for very entertaining rounds.

This tournament consists of 5 months of qualifying and regional mini-tournaments. Luckily, Vitality Rocky was still able to qualify even after losing in the finals of the European Tournament. He was able to make up for that loss and then some by claiming the overall title.

To my surprise… I learned that EA Sports has been focusing on making FIFA an official competitive E-Sport. The payoff for winners can mean winning a very substantial amount of money. To follow the progress of the sport, you need to follow EA on Twitter @EASPORTSFIFA. Seriously, I mean, who doesn’t want to play games competitively for the big bucks!? I know I do… in fact, who knows where Saljack will be in the future, maybe we will be competitively gaming too… Who knows but, you gotta follow us to find out!

If you are like me, you probably would like to see the gameplay that won Rocky the tournament, well…. I found some video… let’s see how he took the win, shall we?

Do you feel inspired by Rocky’s story of triumph? I know I do!!

Thanks so much for stopping by Ky’s Korner my friends!! I Sincerely hope you have enjoyed reading this… come back tomorrow for more exciting gamer news!
