Ru’s Daily Blog #35: Interview With The Plumber. Presented by Saljack Enterprises. Gaming. Media. Entertainment.

What’s Up, Players?

G’Day Gamer Gals & Guys!

Thank you for joining me for another edition of:

“Ru’s Daily Blog” for Saljack Enterprises!

It’s Humpday!

You’ve made it to the middle of the week, and I’m here to help carry you the rest of the way through!

And I’m not alone…

I’ve invited a friend to help me with this blog!

A mustached Italian plumber dressed in red, who is THE guy to have any kind of adventure with!

Of course, I am talking about Mario Mario!

Or just Mario, for short 🙂

He had some time off after filming his newest game to come help me with this blog!

He’s agreed to stop by and tell us more about his newest game for the Nintendo Switch!

Super Mario Odyssey!

So In The words of the hero himself:

“Here we gooooooo!”

(*KR is Kallisto Ru and MM is Mario Mario*)

KR: “Hi Mario!”

MM: “It’s-a me, Mario!”

KR: “Yes, Mario! Of course, it’s you! Thanks for joining us all here on Ru’s Daily!

MM: “Okey dokey!”

KR: Tell Us about Your Newest Game!

MM: “Okey dokey!” Here We go!”

(MM Clears His Throat…)

MM: “In my Newest Saga, we are back to an open world adventure! And a 3D open-world at that. You’ll play as Me-Mario! As we explore the lands that lay beyond the Mushroom Kingdom!”

KR: “There are lands beyond the Mushroom Kingdom?!?!”

MM: “I know! Crazy huh?”

KR: “Very!”

MM: “One of the places we get to explore in my new game is ‘New Donk City’!”

KR: “New Donk City? Is that a mix of New York And Donkey Kong?”

MM: “I know Donkey Kong, but what’s a “New York”  in contrast to an old York?”

KR: “I’ll explain later!”

MM: “Okey Dokey!”

KR: “So, when was the last time you had an open world adventure like this?”

MM: “Well, if my memory is as good as my new cap throwing ability…I would venture to guess the last time we did this was Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine.”

KR: “Did you say…new cap throwing ability, Mario? Can you really throw your cap in the game now, against enemies?”

MM: “Yes, and that’s not all! You can also use it like a spring!”

KR: “Like a Spring…?”

MM: “Wa-hoo! You can make me reach higher ledges and cross longer gaps than ever before!”

KR: “Wow! I saw some of your new gameplay and certain parts remind me of the Prince of Persia? Any correlation?”

MM: “I’ve Never Heard of Him? Is he a relative of Bowser’s?”

KR: “Oops! Different Dimension!”

MM: “Okey dokey!”

KR: “Is it true that you travel between the worlds in the game on an airship?”

MM: “Yes, it’s true! It’s big too! But I am used to big flying boats by now!”

KR: “I’m Sure! So, when is your new game set to be released?”

MM: “Well my partners Shigeru, Kenta, Yoshiaki, and I thought a holiday release would be best this year!”

KR: “Very strategic! I am looking forward to playing the game eating a delicious holiday dinner. What’s your favorite, Mario?”

MM: “Ah spaghetti. Ah, ravioli. Ahh, mama mia!”

KR: “Where can we see more of your new game, Mario?”

MM: “Well I bought a trailer with me in my cap! Wa-hoo! Here you gooo! It’s-a me, Mario!”

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5kcdRBHM7kM

KR: “Wow! Thanks, Mario! That was amazing!”

MM: “My friend Reggie at Nintendo, said that there will be playable demos and further details of my game at E3 in June – so try to be there!”

KR: “We sure will Mario! Thank you again so much for being here to tell us about your new game! I am so excited to play it this Holiday season!”

MM: “Arrivederci!”

KR: “Bye-Bye!”

😀

I hope you had fun in my “interview” with Mario! I was so nervous to meet him, I forgot to ask him about Princess and Luigi!

I also should have asked him why he can crush blocks with his head but dies when touching a turtle…?

But he promised to be back again soon, and next time with friends, so we’ll have more fun then!

  1. Jonathan says:

It is pretty remarkable that Nintendo is still able to churn out Mario games after all this time. I mean, one would think that gamers would be tired of that character by now or just buy or play the game only for the sake of nostalgia. I guess that is not the case for Mario games!

  2. Antony says:

Haha, I think Ru should ask Mario to promise and save her if she ever get kidnapped. This plumber is surely the best at saving princess.

  3. Hailie MC says:

Mario with no Luigi? Whats that about? Or what about the little mushroom men? I love that they have had roles in other mario brothers games. Hopefully in the sequel theyll add some more characters.

  4. Bridgette Ali says:

Loved the trailer. Mario has always had a special place in my heart. I cant wait to play this one. Love the open concept and the new city and the new tricks with the hat. This is definitely going to be a good time.

  5. Logan says:

Why stop there? I would love to see cloud of Final fantasy in this. As well as solid Snake, Nathan Drake , Lara croft etc…

  6. Ororo says:

Oh its Mario? For a moment there I was thinking of a real plumbing problem ha ha. Good one miss Ru.

  7. Domhnall says:

Bring all the characters next time! Luigi, Princess Peach, Bowser, etc. This was really F-U-N!

  8. Angeline says:

I was reading another article when I saw the article title on the sidebar. I thought, maybe Ru has another issue aside from her internet connection! Like, she has plumbing issues in her house! LOL! Oh Ru, you always surprise us with your creative mind. Two thumbs up for this one!

  9. Grecy Garcia says:

You are both funny. I am glad you able to meet Mario Mario. I remember playing this game when I was young. I used to beat to the highest score. It is time consuming yet entertaining. I wish to have my game boy once again.

  10. Horace says:

Haha! That was entertaining! If only there is a way to “read” the Italian accent… This made me remember the old Super Mario Brothers cartoon way back then! I guess I am imagining that voice and accent while reading this!

  11. Josh says:

Oh it’s Mario! I thought you’re interviewing a real plumber. Anyway, I enjoyed reading your interview w/ Mario. Hope you interview Luigi next time.

  12. Killa says:

Ru and the plumber. I really like title. It’s catchy and you think it’s a bit mysterious at first like who the heck is this plumber? tadah!

  13. Ales says:

Very creative Ru, when it was explained that way. It was very nice.

  14. victor says:

I was one of those unfortunate ones to watch that movie too. Thankfully I was like 6 or 7 . Yes it was a blessing that I never understood the movie. That is how bad it was.

  15. Kazuki Kazama says:

Wow you girl sure is imaginative and creative. I have seen Mario evolve over the years and yes even that god awful movie adaptation.

  16. Qing Dao Xi says:

“My friend Reggie at Nintendo, said that there will be playable demos and further details of my game at E3 in June – so try to be there!” What I think that, June is very far away. People want to play this game now. Excited much.

  17. Esmeralda Pajanucoy says:

This was fun Ru! You’re really creative 🙂 Now I am more excited for the Switch!
