The Champions spun around to see two humanoid robots standing on either side of the entrance.

Hello! Today we continue with the eleventh part of book 3. Hope you enjoy!

After breakfast and introductions, the team left the mess hall and headed out the double steel doors and began to make their way to the west hanger some 400 yards away. The salty air of the island filled their senses.

As the last champion made his way out into the morning sun the heavy steel doors slammed shut. Startled, the group spun around to see two humanoid robots standing on either side of the entrance. As they stood perplexed the robots rushed them.

Shailan was the first to feel the sting of a steely robotic hand glance across his face. Instinctively he threw a low block as the robot attempted to kick his legs out from under him with a lightning fast sweep kick. Reisha rushed over to him and attempted to knock the robot down with a flying spin kick. The robot wobbled briefly and then turned to her. His stance widened and his arms rose to shoulder height ready for her next attack. She threw a quick combination of front punches at the robot’s head who adeptly blocked all of her attempts. Shailan sensing an opportunity kicked the robot in the back of what would be a human’s knee causing it to fall to one knee. He then launched a flying back fist to its head.

“Ouch! That freakin hurt!” he screamed as he grabbed his hand and stepped back “What the heck is going on?”

“I have no idea what the….” Reisha’s response was cut short as the robot punched her hard in the abdomen.

Brajjit came hurtling through the air, his left leg outstretched. The robot looked up at him as Brajjit’s foot neared the side of his metallic head. In a fluid motion, the robot grabbed Brajjit’s foot with his left hand and grabbed his upper thigh with his right hand and used Brajjit’s own momentum to send him crashing to the ground in a tangled mess.

Jonni looked over at Reisha and Brajjit lying on the ground then looked at Shailan. Without a word, both Champions rushed the robot. Simultaneously they tackled its legs and upper torso, knocking it to the ground.

At that moment Travour walked over calmly and ripped the robot’s head off.

As the Champions dusted themselves off and tried to figure out what had just happened they looked at Travour as he lifted two robotic heads into the air one in each hand.

“The first one was a bit of a struggle but the second one was easier once the four of you knocked him down.” he said with a smirk on his face.

Brianna just shook her head, “That is quite the welcoming committee. Come on guys let’s see what’s waiting for us in the hangar. “

As the group left the metal carcasses of the robots behind them and headed for the hangar an air of uncertainty mixed with adrenaline consumed them.

“Well, that just happened” laughed Shailan.

  1. Peter Parker says:

I would suggest a story recap time and again. These stories are too short that it is forgetful. Just being honest here.

  2. Tony Stark says:

Manga? well This definitely would qualify. However, These characters are not anime material. At least not yet.

  3. Howie says:

One of the comments mentioned “graphic novel”, and I was like “why not?”… I mean the story is intriguing enough. The characters seem to hold their own. Perhaps visuals can bring more life to the story. Like “mangas”.

  4. Gunther says:

The progress of the story has come a long way. I could just imagine this as a graphic novel. That would be intense!

  5. Scott Summers says:

I would not count these guys out for all we know they have chakra to make them superhuman. I have seen a lot of Naruto lately.

  6. Alex Summers says:

I beg to differ. It all depends on the author. If you are familiar with the VF anime. Martial artist are up against robots that copy their fighting data. Yes guys I am a geek.

  7. Mau says:

Will the heroes be going against robots in the future? Doesn’t seem much like a fair fight. No matter how good at martial arts one is, he/she will probably be overpowered by a machine.

  8. Franklin says:

Just guessing what they could encounter… A bigger and badder fighting robot inside? Like that thing from the Tomb Raider movie… Perhaps an enemy for each of them to fight? That would be awesome!

  9. Erik says:

These images always seem to veer me over towards nostalgia. The styles and colors. The robot thingies remind of them soldier droids in Star Wars Episode 1. Difference is, these probably fight better than those in the movie!

  10. Zach says:

Isn’t fighting bad for digestion? I mean, they just ate and now they’re fighting those robots. Talk about bad timing hahahaahahaaha

  11. Killa says:

Really, what a welcoming committee but they’re strong so it doesn’t really matter.

  12. Rebi says:

For Travour, it’s just seems too easy, hah. Piece of cake.

  13. Kyo Kusagi says:

Travour is flexing those muscles. I cannot wait for other members to show their stuff.

  14. Kadoya Tsukasa says:

Wow this is by far the best update story wise. Are those exo suits?

  15. Matthew says:

Now we have an action-packed update! Love the drawing too. Cheers!

  16. Virginie says:

What a welcoming committee indeed! I think it was done on purpose to warm them up. Or to prepare them for what lies ahead.

  17. Roy says:

Travour is the hero we all need. Just goes to show that not all heroes were capes. He definitely saved the day… and the Champions.
