Helllloooooo Gamer Guys & Gals!

There is a game coming out this year that has me stoked!

And every time I watch another video about it, I get more and more excited about this amazing game!

It’s unlike any other “zombie” game you have ever seen or played before…GUARANTEED!

It’s…

DAY’S GONE!

If you haven’t had the chance to watch the reveal trailer: Watch it here first so we can talk about it below with no spoilers!

…..

Ok, wasn’t that *$^*%@ nuts? Are you as excited about it as I am?!

Let’s find out more about this insane game that they couldn’t tell us in the trailer…

Days Gone is an upcoming 2017 open world action-adventure survival horror video game in development by SIE Bend Studio, exclusively for the PlayStation 4.

Days Gone went into full production in January 2015 with John Garvin as the creative director and writer of the game, and Jeff Ross as the game director.

The Unreal Engine 4 is being used for the game development!

It’s the first intellectual property created by SIE Bend Studio since Syphon Filter in 1999 and the first home console game by the studio since Syphon Filter: Logan’s Shadow in 2010.

Did I mention you play in an open world from a third-person perspective?!

Set in the beautiful high-desert of the Pacific Northwest, you’ll play as Deacon St. John, a drifter and former bounty hunter who prefers to risk his life in danger on the road, instead of hiding out in one of the “safe” camps in the wilderness.

The game starts two years after a global pandemic which destroyed almost all humans and transformed the millions of others left into “Freakers!”

Freaks are mindless zombie-like creatures, more animal than human – that quickly evolve throughout the game!

In the E3 2016 stage demo of the game, two types of “Freakers” were revealed, Newts and Hordes.

Newts were adolescents when infected, and are opportunistic hunters preferring to hit and run when you least expect them.

Hordes are made up of hundreds of individual Freakers. Hordes always eat, move and attack together, pretty much as one.

The game features a dynamic day-night cycle, which makes some Freakers weak and slow during the daytime, but fast and aggressive in the dark!

You’’ll encounter some Hordes roaming the highways at night, while others, like the one in the demo you saw above have found a food source that keeps it in one single location!

Which is a bad time for you…..! 😀

Vehicles such as motorcycles can also be used to explore the game’s world and maneuver through congested, abandoned roads – as well as off-road!

As you also saw in the gameplay reveal, players are able to craft new items they find to improve combat efficiency.

All of these features combined create a truly new “zombie” title unlike any other!

{You’ll also be happy to know that the current buzz on the ammo, is that it is very generous in this game. You kind of have to be with the amount of hordes trying to eat you alive everywhere you turn!}

And just like Deacon, our ride is only just beginning!

When do you think they will finally release this game?

Will it be a summer blockbuster, an anticipated fall release, or dare they make us wait until the holiday season?!!

And will you be playing this game?

Do you like that it is exclusive to the PS4 or should they offer it up on more platforms?

I can’t wait to hear what you think in the comments below!

And stick around because tomorrow I answer reader & viewer questions right here on

Ru’s Daily!

See you tomorrow!

“This is a brutal world, where everyone and everything is struggling to survive – but hopefully, the trailer shows that the game is about more than that. It’s about desperation, hope, transformation, loss, madness, discovery, friendship, exploration, brotherhood, regret and love. In the end, Days Gone is about what makes us human. It’s about how even when confronted with such enormous tragedy, we find a reason to live. Hope never dies.”

~ John Garvin, Creative Director of Bend Studios

Always a fan of zombie apocalyptic games. It sure is fun to be riding a motorcycle and blow away the zombies in a middle of deserted city with a full range of weaponry.

Looking at how excited Ru is, looks like Ru will have lots of days gone playing “DAYS GONE” hehe. And it will be interesting to see how SIE Band is going to build this open world survival horror action shooter, since the Syphon filter games that they develop are stealth shooter.
